I Am Loved - Webster's Pages Banner of the Week

Hello everyone!

This layout was created for the Webster’s Pages September Challenge - “Dazzle Me.”  I am happy to announce that my layout was selected as Banner of the Week! and I am so truly honored.

I used the beautiful new “All About Me” collection from Webster’s Pages to create this sweet layout of my little cousin. I converted the photo to black and white to coordinate with the cool color palette I selected for my layout. I created layers behind the photo using patterned paper, which I ripped, and netting. I mounted the photo on “You’re Timeless” patterned paper.
At the bottom of my page I used fabric ribbon and “All About Me” trim topped with Dazzle Me Gems.

I surrounded my photo with lots of layered flowers in different styles to add interest. To further enhance off my flower clusters, I tucked in dazzlers and punched patterned paper circles.

To finish my layout, I decided to use “All About Me” fabric tickets to create my title. I surrounded these beautiful tickets with flowers, gems, sparklers and whimseys.

I used the die cut from the collection to create a bracketed frame for my page. I trimmed my frame using my light green Pearl Pen by Viva D├ęcor.

Patterned Paper: All About Me Collection (Webster’s Pages)
Flowers: Prima, Spellbinders, Webster’s Pages
Spray Inks: Glimmer Mist – Key Lime Pie (Tattered Angels)
Fabrics & Trims: Fabric Tickets, Fabric Trim, Netting (Webster’s Pages)
Pearl Pen: Viva Decor
Dazzle Me Gems, Sparklers and Whimseys: Webster’s Pages
Dies: Spiral Blossoms 2 (Spellbinders); Swirls (Lifestyle Crafts)
Die Cutting Systems: Revolution (Lifestyle Crafts), Grand Calibur (Spellbinders)

I hope you have enjoyed the awesome projects by my talented teammates thus far.  I love the Wizard of Oz and the Magic of Oz collection from Graphic 45.  I have said this many times, but the Scarecrow is my one of my favorite characters from the collection so you will see him quite a bit in my designs.

The design team created treat bags for Summer CHA using the Magic of Oz collection.  I can tell you all that you are certainly in for a treat this week as we unveil our bags.

Trick or Treat!!!

I decided to use the Scarecrow as my focal image and surround him with other characters from the story.

First, I sprayed my paper bag and handles with Smooch Ink. I sprayed lightly so that you could see a hint of color from the paper bag.

I created a brick wall using a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. Used yellow acrylic paint on dark brown cardstock. Once dry, I added glossy accents to each brick. The collection has wonderful images which I detail cut to create custom embellishments.

Paper: Magic of Oz (Graphic 45)
Ink: Distress Ink (Ranger)
Embellishments: Stickles (Ranger), Metal Flower (Graphic 45), Stencil (The Crafter’s Workshop), Punch (Martha Stewart Crafts), Paint (Making Memories), Glossy Accents (Ranger), Brad (Craft Supply)
Adhesives: ATG 700 (Scotch), Foam Squares (Ranger). Scor-Tape (Scor-Pal), 450 Quick Dry (Helmar’s)

Here is the coordinating card to match my bag.  Many of you have seen it before, but it's fun to bring him back out again.

Graphic 45 & Fiskars Team Up!

Hello everyone!

Welcome to day two of the Graphic 45 and Fiskars team up!  I am a long time user of Fiskars products.  I use everything from their paper trimmers to their decorative scissors.  This week Graphic 45 will be showcasing projects designed by the design team using Fiskars products.

Today I am sharing a fun Outer Stair Step Card using the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium collection.  The collections contains lots of beautiful images, but the beautiful Santa image is my favorite from the collection and serves as my focal point on the card.

The card base is pre-scored and is made by a company called The Paper Cut.  I purchased my card bases from my local stamping store, but they are also available online.  You can click this link which takes you to Paper Creations which is a division of The Paper Cut.

This card design allows you to add a multitude of beautiful layers to your project. I used Fiskars Postage Stamp border punch to create a delicate scalloped border which was topped with diamond Stickles. To continue with the postage stamp theme, I punched a postage stamp shape to mat my postal stamp image cut from my patterned paper.

Here is a short video to show you the fun movement of this card.

I used the following Fiskars products:

Fiskars 01-005721 Squeeze Punch, Ex Large Postage Stamp

Fiskars FBP-5646 Border Punch

Fiskars 5249 SureCut Deluxe Paper Trimmer 12

Graphic 45 Papers:

Apple of My Eye

I love the scarecrow images found in “The Magic of Oz” collection. I used these playful images to adorn the photo of my friend and her youngest son at an apple orchard last fall.

I placed the scarecrow’s hand in between the two hands in the photo to make it look as if he was part of the fun! I inked Graphic 45’s chipboard buttons to coordinate with the colors of the scarecrow’s hat as well as my background papers. I finished by design with scalloped transparencies and decorative lettering.

Join me and Lynette Carroll on the Graphic 45 blog for more fall inspiration.

The Magic of Oz!

Hello everyone!

I am pleased to share with you my latest design team project for Graphic 45.

I am a huge fan of these fun altered 5x5 Kraftboard Altered Art Boxes w/Album from the Graphic 45 staples collection.

I love these boxes because of their size.  They make the perfect keepsake for you or someone special.  I chose The Magic of Oz collection to decorate my project.

Here is the box opened.  You can see a beautiful field of poppies surrounding the Tin Man and Scarecrow.

Here is the cover of my mini booklet.  I detail flowers from my patterned paper and adhered them to the page using foam squares.

Here are the first two pages of my mini book.  I altered the shape of the accordian album to become a four page booklet.

Here are my friend's twins having fun on a beautiful fall day.

Complete supply lists can be found by clicking here.  Be sure to leave a comment on the Graphic 45 blog under this post to be eligible for a beautiful prize package.
