The Dusty Attic - White Christmas ATC

I can hardly believe that winter is here.  I loved the them this month and was inspired to create a glittery ATC featuring Flower Layers #4 Mixed Pack (DA1014) and ATC Frame #1 (DA0673).  I painted the poinsettia using Dusty in Color - Navajo White acrylic paint (DA0903) then sprinkled white glitter on top while the paint was still wet.  I painted the leaves using Dusty in Colour - Forrest (DA0919) acrylic paint.

Anna Griffin Holiday Trimmings Card - Day 9!

Well it is Christmas Eve and I can hardly believe tomorrow is Christmas.  Today's design features a decoupage present as the focal point.  I assembled one of the many rosette strips from the kit to place behind the present.  I used a large glittered flourish on top of my card layer to add a bit of sparkle.

Anna Griffin Holiday Trimmings Card - Day 8!

This has to be one of my faves!  I used one of Anna's gorgeous holiday embossing folders to create a dimensional background for Santa.  The design was embossed on Anna's metallic holiday papers.  I added a large gem to the center of the bow to make it festive and to add yet another layer to my design.

Anna Griffin Hoiday Trimmings Cards - Day 7!

Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle!  I loved the embellishments found in the kit.  I used a large flourish to anchor my design.  I made a rosette using the pre-scored rosette strips which were also a part of the kit.

I used snowflakes to accent the silver foiling found in the card base.  I have a friend who loves silver so this was made just for her.

Today I am sharing a nostalgic card design using the kit.  This reminds me of the cards we received when I was a young girl.  Christmas was always special in our house.  My mom loved everything gold and this card reminds me of her.  I may have to place this in her stocking!

Collage ATC

The Dusty Attic ATC theme for June was "Collage."

I used the gorgeous ATC Frame #1 (DA0673) to frame my vintage collage.  I created the collage by  applying matte medium gel to my paper.  I then layered bits of ephemera and applied a top layer of the matte medium gel to hold everything in place and to give it a beautiful matte finish.

For those of you participating at your local scrapbook stores I have a treat in store for you with June's design.  I will be back next month to showcase more crafters and their June projects.

Here is the page I designed for the May classes.

Favorite Memories

Hello everyone!

One of my favorite designers is Anna Griffin.  For many years I have followed her works and loaded my craft room with lots of her amazing products.

When I saw her "Eleanor" collection I couldn't resist!  The gorgeous feminine palette spoke to me.

I love the black and pink color combination of the patterned papers so I decided to paint my chipboard skeleton clock pieces using the same combination.

Skeleton Clock Faces (DA0430)

I used a vellum sticker from Anna Griffin to add the sentiment to my page and I finished my design using die cut flowers also from the "Eleanor" collection.

Patterned Paper:  Anna Griffin "Eleanor" Collection
Banner:  Anna Griffin
Vellum Sentiment Sticker:  Anna Griffin
Chipboard:  The Dusty Attic - Skeleton Clock Faces
